From The Ground Up-

The LTEAP BLOG:

Our plan is simple, to leverage community partnerships and relationships to co-create a hub for eco-conscious activity where individuals from all walks of life in southern California can come and learn about sustainability.
We believe that the arts, that is, engaging people in creative, dynamic, discovery is a more strategic and FAR more awesome way to inspire the lasting change so integral to our future.
We’ve put a tremendous amount of thought into this park and here’s what we’ve come up with thusfar...
Our draft project plan designs were the work of a class project at the Permaculture Institute under the direction of Karl Kras. You can find these plans in small detail by clicking the : “Land Use Plan”, “Artist in Residence” and “Watershed Restoration” tabs above.
The plans for the “Tuckahoe Playground” came from the kind folks in the Arlington County, Virginia parks and public works office. They were so excited about our idea to create a park that inspired sustainable change that they tracked down the blueprints for an AMAZING play structure made out of re-purposed industrial materials that yours truly (that’d be me- Courage- the Communications Maven) grew up playing on.
The thing is, we know that this park is going to take a lot of people, (actually, the WHOLE of Los Angeles) to create, and we welcome the challenge and opportunity to inspire change.
